Application

UL certifications
For network cables, UL listing (safety standard) is particularly important for the US and Canadian markets. Depending on where the cable is run inside the building, different approvals are needed. This is applicable to any cables that need to be mounted on cable racks that are fastened to the building in order to be routed from a computer to a remote control cabinet. The term "GP" (General Purpose) is appended to cables bearing UL certification.
